Different Brains, Better Communication.
Connection without Guessing.
communicating is relational

communicating is relational 〰️
You don’t have to communicate “normally” to communicate well.
Autistic, ADHD, auDHD, and otherwise neurodivergent folk just experience communication differently. From how quickly we process spoken information to how we interpret subtext, we need different tools to recognize our own emotions, regulate during conflict, organize our thoughts, or just figure out when it’s our turn to talk.
This isn’t therapy. But they pair together perfectly.
It’s curiosity-first, customized, skills-based support for neurodivergent folks who want to communicate more clearly, navigate conflict, ask for what we need, and build relationships that work with our brains—not against them.
Stop me if these sound familiar:
“You’re overexplaining.”
“You’re being too literal.”
“You should have known what I meant.”
“Your tone is wrong.”
“Why are you making such a big deal out of this?”
For neurodivergent people like us, communication advice built around “normal” social expectations can be spectacularly unhelpful, even defeating.
So let’s build something together that actually works for your brain, while helping you navigate the external world with more ease, more success - whatever that means for you.
Your communication style isn’t a character flaw.
With sensory overload, rejection sensitivity, trauma, masking, demand avoidance, time blindness, burnout, or a nervous system that has simply had enough? “Just communicate” becomes pretty useless advice.
I offer individualized communication support designed around a different question:
What conditions help you communicate well?
Instead of teaching you to perform neurotypical communication more convincingly, we’ll figure out what helps you understand yourself, make yourself understood, and stay connected to other people without abandoning yourself in the process.
✦ That’s why I offer a path towards:
Conflict Skills: Saying the hard things without collapsing or exploding.
Relationship Rituals: Building grounding practices for safety and connection.
Repair after Miscommunication: Sometimes everyone had good intentions and somebody still got hurt. We can unpack what happened without automatically assigning a villain.
Capacity-Varied Tools: We can develop tools for pauses, processing time, written communication, sensory needs, returning to conversations, and recognizing when someone has lost the capacity to communicate productively.
Hi, I’m Nick/Nicole (they/she - love a mix),
I know we are way more than a list of experiences, but I hope these help explain why I’m passionate about helping neurodivergent folk find ease in their communication - feeling seen, heard, & understood.
Communication became my special interest at a young age, when my parents’ words and actions just didn’t match. I started looking for the patterns of neurotypical speak, and then I studied them through college, my Masters, and my PhD coursework!

I believe in fiscal transparency ahead of time. My base rate is $150/hr. I invite folks to pay up to $175/hr to make sliding scale options available.
